Android 5.0 (Lollipop) comes with support for 64-bit architecture. This said, will Samsung’s TouchWiz UI be a 64-bit version slapped on top of Lollipop on the Galaxy S6? According to a new report, it will be.
Polish-speaking KomputerSwiat.pl is the site behind the report. The report also claims that Samsung is planning to launch its next flagship on the 27th of March, a little bit over 3 weeks after its unveiling. The Korean tech giant will be lifting the lid on the Samsung Galaxy S6 on the 1st of March at MWC 2015 in Barcelona, Spain.
The rumoured Galaxy S6 release date on the 27th of March goes in line with Samsung’s vacation blackout from the 22nd to the 30th of March, which was leaked earlier. Usually, when Samsung enforces vacation blackouts, it is planning something big. Additionally, the report comes from Poland. Samsung has a R&D facility in the country, which has been known to be a source of leaks in the past.
Of course, since this is anything but official, take this with a pinch of salt.
